GALERIE CHEVALIER PARSUA
The gallery
Galerie Chevalier, historically specialised in antique tapestries (16th to 18th centuries), now focuses on modern (1920 to 1960) and contemporary (1970 to the present day) tapestries, as well as Parsua edition rugs.
A must-see for textile enthusiasts, Galerie Chevalier welcomes an international clientele of private collectors, museum curators, interior architects, and decorators.
Visitors can admire the leading figures of the 20th-century tapestry revival (Jean Lurçat, Mathieu Matégot, Pierre Daquin, Emile Gilioli, Robert Wogensky...) as well as contemporary artists who use, reinterpret, or subvert this medium in the 21st century.
This gallery is the continuation of the family business dating back to 1917. Today, it is directed by Amélie-Margot Chevalier, who continues the passion initiated by her parents, Dominique Chevalier and Nicole de Pazzis-Chevalier.
Having worked within the family gallery for around twenty years, Amélie-Margot Chevalier is an expert in modern and contemporary tapestries and a member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts.
