TCHIKEBE
La galerie
Founded in Marseille, TCHIKEBE is a publishing house dedicated to contemporary editions and multiples, with works produced entirely within its own studios. This in-house production, closely connected to craftsmanship and materials, forms the core of its identity and ensures a level of standards and precision that is rare today.
Each edition is born from an encounter with the artist, a dialogue fueled by the shared pleasure of creating an image. In the studio, projects are built through a process of trials and adjustments, in a direct relationship between intention and fabrication. Screen printing and pigment printing are approached as living practices, where materials—inks, papers, densities, and layers—actively participate in the development of the work.
Through a constantly evolving catalog, TCHIKEBE champions an open contemporary scene, asserting an editorial line based on commitment, proximity to artists, and a deeply embodied approach to publishing.
Le projet
TCHIKEBE brings together four major artists with diverse backgrounds, generations, and origins: Annette Messager, Nina Childress, Nathalie du Pasquier, and Thu Van Tran.
Their works create a dialogue between very different approaches to the image: the intimate and the political in Annette Messager's work, popular culture and the history of painting in Nina Childress's, the construction of color and space in Nathalie du Pasquier's, and questions of memory, displacement, and transformation in Thu Van Tran's.
