Galleri GKM
La galerie
Galleri GKM was founded in 1967 by Solveig and Siwert Bergström and is today operated by the second and third generation. The gallery is based in Stockholm, with an additional office in Paris.
Since its beginnings in Jönköping, the gallery has developed into an established international platform with a strong presence in Sweden and France. The gallery represents contemporary international art, spanning established artists like Arman, Valerio Adami, César, Corneille, Erró, Peter Klasen, Roberto Matta among others alongside a younger generation of artists, f.ex. David Drebin, Philippe Huart and William Sweetlove, whose practices engage with the present through a distinct pictorial language.
Galleri GKM works with original paintings, sculptures and photographs as well as own editions, including multiples, prints and art books.
In 2027, Galleri GKM celebrates 60 years in the art world. No one can predict how the art of tomorrow will be, neither who will be the artists to create it. The only thing that is certain, is that art will be created tomorrow and that we will be where art appears.

Le projet
ARMAN - One man show
We will be happy to present a solo booth showing our editions of graphics and sculptures by Arman, an artist Galleri GKM has been representing since 1985 when the founder of the gallery Siwert Bergström met Arman at FIAC in Paris. It was the beginning of a twenty-year creative dialogue.
A central part of the collaboration was the production of graphic works and sculptures that made Arman’s art accessible to a broader public. The most significant publication was ”Trio à Cordes”, published in 1987, a portfolio with 3 silkscreens together with a poetic book that combined the artist’s works with his own texts about music. The book captured Arman’s deep passion for music and his ability to translate sound into visual form.
